As many of you know, I love art, in particular African and African American art. And for many years, I've been frequenting three African American galleries, one of which is located on Livernois on the Avenue of Fashion. This gallery, Jo's Gallery, is owned by an absolutely wonderful woman by the name of JoAnn Griffin. Over the years, we've developed a great friendship. And oftentimes, she calls me to assist with special projects. So, that's why I'm writing to each of you. Her gallery is hosting a fundraiser featuring nationally renowned artist Annie Lee to support Presidential Democratic Candidate Senator Barack Obama's campaign on Friday, September 26th at 6 p.m. at Fellowship Chapel. When you buy a ticket, which of course I hope that you will, you'll receive a free Annie Lee print commemorating this historic time in our country. (Tickets are only $36 each.) You'll also have an opportunity to purchase other prints -- all of which were specially created by Annie Lee at the request of Mrs. Griffin to mark this time in our history.
